Saw a picture of jagged dam pieces sticking up through the water flow over the dam. I guess there will be a good flow yet but not as much as before.
I hope this will mean a slowing down of the flow but maybe not enough to let the water recede much?
Recent satellite picture shows the dam remains holding back a reasonable amount of water which is good for upstream uses. It is also good for the downstream people as the river will return to it's old level again soon?
Be interesting to see how much of the dam is left and how big the reservoir is behind it. If it is only the river left the the Ukrainian arm might cross it giving a longer front than before. If it is wide enough to stop easy crossing then there might be enough to support the power station...
I wish I could contribute without "I think" but you guys are much better read than I am,
Thank you all. Please keep the conversation going.
I watched the escalation video twice and "I think" there is some real meat in it.
