Just curious why those sailors from the various exotic classes come to laser? I think part of lasers appeal is that it’s relatively easy to find larger fleets, maybe that’s 20 boats vs 5 in another class at a local regatta. And the simple, low maintenance nature of it.- Lamps

I think the schedule above helps to illustrate that it’s not the cost of the boat but rather the cost of all the associated travel that makes campaigns prohibitive. Let’s say a laser is half the cost of the modern equivalent boats, one might think that’s a big savings, but the real savings is...- Lamps
