A lot of really, really good sailors piled in with their very young children. It was a really nice scene last I saw it at a regatta (pre COVID).

The big dropout seems to be when they start their HSC in years 11 & 12. After that Uni. After that, well, life gets busy and Dad's not paying any more.
That is precisely why I concentrate on adults.
And at that stage adults can self select for 'thrills' if that's what they want.
