Single handed - lowering laminated mainsail.

That would mean removing the mainsail from the mast and boom. Too much hassle.

Single handed - lowering laminated mainsail.

mostly slides and rollers on the battens. But no lazy jacks or similar systems because they mess up the performance.

Single handed - lowering laminated mainsail.

Previously sailing single handed I used a classical nylon mainsail. Lowering the mainsail in windy conditions was not a problem, because I didnt have to worry that much about damaging the material. Now the new mainsail is with Lite Skin from Dimension Polyant and it has to be folded nicely on...

How much slower i am with a dacron mainsail

Well, the question was nice, I think. There was an exact discussion like this in 2007.  It was a nice discussion. 42 - spill your beans now, what do you think? Will a dacron vs liteskin.... change the game for an average club racer?

How much slower i am with a dacron mainsail

I am choosing a new mainsail for the season. Handicap racing, not one design. How many seconds per mile will I loose with a good crosscut dacron mainsail, rather than a new Liteskin tri-radial main? There was a nice discussion about this 14 years ago in this forum, maybe experiences have...

Got it done finally. Couldnt smooth it totally, some dings and uneven spots remained. How to you do the final fairing to get rid of all the uneven spots that you can not see before it is painted?

    Hull job / again

Has anybody used the single component primers? Worth trying or is it just waste of money? Grinded the keel and covered with Rust Converter. 4 days later it looks like that. There is a mysterious hole at the base - oval shape, looks like its man made :)  Why?

    Hull job / again

Thank you for sharing your experience.  International recommended single component primer Primocon, straight on the iron and then Trilux antifouling.  http://www.yachtpaint.com/gbr/diy/products/primers/primocon.aspx Read about it. Apparently the primer has some sort of metal content that...

Do you mean sand it until it is all white? Then paint and long board it after every paint layer (3 layers planned). The keel - plasted all the old paint off with water jet, doesnt look too bad. Was smooth and neat before. Plan is to remove most of rust with wire brush and then treat it with...

    Hull job / again

Removing old antifouling. Dont know the type used. Can anyone suggest if it is needed to sand off the primer layer also (I think the gray layer is primer) so it will be full white gelcoat? gray - top, last layer of antifouling (not on pictures, pressure washer took it off) bronze - antifouling...
