    INEOS Team GB

Nothing revealed in this presentation…..! However I am tired of Ainslie and co talking about changing the rules of the game before they’ve even won the thing! They tried that before Bermuda and look how that turned out.

    Fastnet 2021

Sodebo looks to have stopped about 12nm from the finish? Been doing circles for a little while... Ran aground or broken something? Edit: they are going again now, must have been battling the tide or lack of wind for a while.

    SailGP

Bermuda lockdown. I wonder how this will affect things? Maybe they should have run the series in Australia and NZ?

    INEOS Team GB

Thanks MaxHugen. As you said, the articles a bit long and just a few snippets to be taken from it... will be interesting to see what happens with the next Cup in any case.    Thanks again for posting the text.

Unfortunately this is behind a paywall. Can anybody extract the text? https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/americas-cup-should-become-the-f1-of-sailing-05wmq3z32 Along with “Everest of sailing” I think this “F1 of sailing” thing gets a bit old.... trotted out every time the America’s cup rolls...

    Sydney to Hobart 2020

Hey Couta, you’ve absolutely hit the nail on the head. It seems ridiculous that a two-handed boat is not eligible to win while everything from a 100 foot diesel-powered canter to a 30 something foot 1904 timber classic (Katwinchar or Maluka) are eligible. The other 600 mile Rolex races manage to...

That Jim Farmer blogpost is spot on. Will be interesting to see what the future holds for TNZ after this current cycle.

    Sydney to Hobart 2020

FWIW Black Jack is back in the country and berthed at Sydney City Marine in Rozelle as of this week. Scallywag remains in Brisbane for now.

    Sydney to Hobart 2020

Given these recommendations from World Sailing issued in August, the likelihood of this race in 2020 is minimal in my opinion.... Christmas Day in self isolation with your team would be interesting! F. Period of self-isolation prior to race start Participants in Category 0 and 1 race should...

    Sydney to Hobart 2020

CYCA has just cancelled a planned TP52 “regatta” which was scheduled for sep 5/6 also due to the impact of the above mentioned rules. There were 9 or 10 boats entered. No word yet on the rest of the sailing season...

    Emirates Team New Zealand.

They’re looking very good. The bow down attitude of the boat seems to be the way to go, just like the ac50s?!

    Aust Sailing Australian IRC Championships

The NOR for last years Aus IRC championships in Melbourne (Jan 2019) also had the Hobart race included, was only removed after some owners complained... I’ll see if I can find a copy.

    New Hugo Boss Spotted

Loving the look of this boat and can’t wait to see it sailing. Well done to VPLP and Hugo Boss team   Where are the winches? Isn’t there a rule that states winches have to be operated on deck?

    Larry's AC50 Circus

    AC36 Protocol - Ask Dalts

Great interview Clean. A lot of references to F1 in the interview so i thought these two links might be relevant. It seems even F1 doesn’t get paid for TV rights in the US! An America’s Cup broadcast solely over the internet, without any pay tv fuckery, we can only hope...
