    Even better.....he and the Dogs were third. (And Oliver was 2nd in his Laser Radial regatta over at RYC.) SFYC still has not posted the final results on their website. It was a 9 race series.

    Three good things: 1. At least he is not spamming the J/24 fleet this year. 2. The competitive J/24's will probably be down in Long Beach for J/Fest hunting a worlds berth anyway. 3. I won't have to defend the V-cup this year.

    Ventucky YC race committee has had some doozies over the years with the J/24 class. Somehow we schlep back there every couple of years to get back in the water, and they have improved over the years, with minor setbacks still common. I pretty much consider the head PRO at VYC a slack-jawed...

    I have sailed them on a couple of Wednesday nights out of MdR. We consider them kind of like mini-105's. A little bit better power to weight ratio, but nothing like the M24, and comfortable, too.

    It's two jibes, or a jibe set and one jibe, all followed by a floater/Mexican takedown at the bottom. Like the locals say, it's the closest you can get to dirt track racing on the water.
