Dhoh!!! Note to self- always get the names right before mentioning anybody! The kids were still very cool, though. Your coaches have trained them very well both in sailing and life (maybe the parents had a little bit to do with it, too!).

Looked like a "Rincon Bash" going north. Hope everyone isn't too banged up. If it's any consolation. my daughter is sailing on the RWU team in RI and they were racing 420's in 16-26kts yesterday, hi temps ~40 deg, in Newport, RI. In the words of the RC, Big breeze, big waves, lots of capsizes...

Anacapa had gusts 63+ (mph) near noon. Buoy reports 7' @ 6sec.; not too big, but verrrry square... Didn't check later. Victory at sea, probably a good day to work ashore.

Hey, how can someone from a town built on silicone (NOT silicon) complain about the substance inside the package??? It looked good from the outside, didn't it?  I've got a good line on genuine John Deere caps. Could be the ultimate "Red Cap" antidote. We could spread 'em wide...

I agree, awesome sailor chick of the week. She's sweet, and "took one for the team" sailing on a painbox for the weekend. As the picture shows, though, you should not ease the genoa around the mark. The trimmer should be given a good "thump".

We had fun, thank you. I've never had such a gracious note. Thanks for bringing all your friends to play, and as I forgot to say over the mic, "Thanks to everyone for playing nice". Yeah, we did kick some booty in the last race, but I didn't hear until I was leaving the parking lot about the...
