    shu, that's exactly right, why there is an optimum weight and why mast variances suck. This is the Finn holy grail, finding the perfect bend/luff curve combination for your weight and technique in your favored conditions. Aka the bane of unstayed rigs.

    Sorry, have to disagree, it is only since the new vangs that laser sails (to my eye) have begun to look decent. When I sail now I constantly adjust my vang, something I rarely did with original style.

    If its Seminole will it wrestle alligators or successfully resist the US Army for decades? As nice as the Aero sounds it is rather telling that there is some question as to whether it is as fast as a Laser, which by the way gets much quicker with a decent rig and blades. No such doubt exists...

    Here is a new boat, made in UK, I believe, and shipped to US with an intro price of $7K, with a solid build, good resin/glass sched, modern spars and sails, rigged for racing, and a modern design... And you want a cheaper price for fleet building? And they say that Walmart and its ilk have not...

    Laser class turmoil creating entry opportunity. Congrats to Dan Holman for getting his boat into production, looks good, like the .2 m extra! And to RS for bringing a simple, clean, modern boat to market, shame about the .2 m missing!
