i doubt we'll see any practical use any time soon. it seems these days nothing happens with research and new discoveries.
graphene was discovered in the 60s, but nothing done with it until a few years ago. and it's not in mass use yet.
battery tech? seems there is a new breakthru every few...
i got my hands smacked and had to repent and say several hail marys for using store bought pasta sauce for a dinner once. then i had to spend a day learning to make proper pasta sauce. you just don't piss off old 4'6" tall italian ladies. you get the stink eye from them and it's like you are cursed.
if you are just sharing with close friends and not on creepbook and the like, imgur is fine. you can make your images non indexable. you can even upload images without an account.

everything i know about pizza i was taught by my italian neighbours back east. italian cooking in general. codfish spaghetti was awesome. they had no clue how to make desserts. mom traded lemon meringue pies for pasta sauces.
the electronic power supplies in newer equipment can sense voltage and adjust accordingly, if designed to do so. old school transformers had taps on them that had to be manually set.
a hair dryer would be an example of something that can handle multiple voltages. a table lamp? probably not.
running 320v into a 230v device is not fine!
he's not in the usa. canada has different voltages than the usa. 320 is close to 347v, which is 3 phase commercial lighting voltage. it is extremely dangerous.
european 230v is not the same as north american 240v. 230v is line to neutral. 240v...
the lamp wouldn't have an inverter. inverter is DC to AC. it probably has a transformer, 230v to either 24 or 12 v. since you are supplying 120v, your bulb is probably seeing 12 or 6 volts.
if it's a halogen bulb, it can be ac or dc. if it's led, the lamp probably has a bridge rectifier after...
but you forgot the best one of all
