    Progress with Lithium Battery Installation

The guy from Emily and Clark’s adventure YouTube channel…. Clark I guess, is big on connecting the two chemistries. If I remember correctly, and it’s quite possible that I don’t , his reasoning has to do with the LA protecting the lithium as it gets low during the night. When the lithium is...

Please help identify this RBBS competitor

An act of revenge would imply that you know who they are, or at least who they are associated with. Also, what would they be trying to avenge? I think Clean is on the right track though. NDT needs to be questioned in this matter!

I forget the specifics as they were relayed to me by a friend who owns a W, but ultimately, you are correct in that he was never able to enact any of the wackadoodle contractual stuff because nobody was going to ever sign onto that program. I remember this. We were entering the channel at...

A lot of this has to do with Donald I think. He has always inserted himself into whatever potential purchase of a W boat came along, almost always spooking buyers, who quite rightly have no interest in paying millions for yacht in which they have to abide by terms from an eccentric third party...

Pack type sailcover that doesn't act like a funnel

Am I missing something… couldn’t a flap with velcro on one side (or some other means of attachment be sewn on one side of the zipper. After the sail has been lowered into the pack the flap would be flipped over the top of the zipper, thus keeping the rain out. Is this not possible? I’m...

I don’t think so. They were on a mooring hoisting jibs for a bit every time I looked over as I was unloading stuff from my boat.

It’s always tricky to race an Asail vs a Symmetric on a lighter boat actually. You have to be bang on with the Asail to make it work. For all the reasons you state, in addition to the fact that it’s usually more fun, I prefer the Asail. Sailing more distance is sailing more distance and...

    Craigslist Finds

The 110 weighs 910 lbs (class minimum) and is easily constructed lighter both out of plywood and in composite. That gives it a displacement length ratio of 24…. Which is very light. By comparison, a J70, which carries an Asail by design has a DLR of 91. By your logic, a J70 should have a...

Actual story after chatting with the captain yesterday is that the current owner requested this after seeing an older picture of her with this look that included Jackie O. No plans for paint or varnish at the moment.

Clipper bow is bold, and if done right pretty sweet IMO. That boat certainly fits the bill, as does Thunderhead. I don’t include LFH boats in this, as they seem like boats that you would expect a clipper bow on, and therefore it’s just natural.

    What's wrong (really) with Bavaria's?

I think people diss Bavarias because they have a reputation for poor quality, as others have pointed out. The other thing that has really be mentioned so far is that they had a keel or two fall off, which is not a good look for any builder. Even if you are value engineering so as to meet the...
