I saw that too. Hannity actually said the National Guard was under the control of the Speaker of the House, and the Committee should be asking her why she didn't want to stop it.

 Hannity has a good handle on his audience, have to give him that.

Tonight was impressive in an extremely sobering way. Ms Cheney has some big balls and I wouldn't want to be on the other side of her.  I didn't know if I could sit through a couple of hours of this but I couldn't look away. Interesting about the GOP congress critters who were asking for appeals - while Trump is the target anyone who was culpable and contributed to the attempted coup need to be addressed and their actions adjudicated and imo the minimum would be to never hold public office again.  Some hard time would be best.  Couple of creeps from Texas need to be at the top of that list.  Rhymes with Gohmert and Cruz.

I never watch Hannity, but swung over there during the "break" just for giggles and yeah, he was raging against Pelosi, Schiff and the mayor of DC for not calling in the NG., which seemed like a valid question.  Had to do some quick intertubes research to find out that Pelosi can't call in the NG.

That talking point has been floating around since not long after the attempted coup. When you can't defend you deflect or in TFG's case you defecate on everything and everyone.

The problem is a mob can become outraged and then the people in the back, feeling safe behind the wall of people, push on the people in front of them. The crowd can't retreat.   

  If there is any chance of channelling that crowd in a corridor behind ya that's what you fall back to, as it doesn't take more than a few dozen bodies to seriously start tripping the whole thing up in a corridor.  Seems to be about what they did. The guns drawn at the doors of the Chamber, the plugging of what'shername in the stairwell, stopped them.
