Any recommended type of line for spinnaker pole trip lines on a 14' carbon spinnaker pole. Obviously they can't stretch much or it will create a bit of a tangle hazard.

Ours are spectra on a 15'+ pole. Probably 1/8". The internal lanyard has a trip tail at the outer end and midway so the bow man or mast man can trip. We do dip pole gybes.

I use uncovered dyneema with a locked splice on one end, then on the other end I do a simple bury for a foot or so, tension the line enough that it’s easy to grab in my palm and twist to open both jaws, then I take the tail out of the bury and snake it back and forth through the line just to tidy it up but leave the tail easy to access for re-tensioning.

So you just use the one trip line, makes some sense, what size pole and boat are you on? Thanks for the feedback.
