Had a friend who was a Biblical scholar and had read the Bible (OT and NT) in the original languages - Hebrew, Aramaic and old Greek. He says it is laughable to compare that to any of the modern versions - modern starting with King James in the 17th century.

that might be a bit like an old internet church called the universal life church
you had to be able to quote the whole bible to join
the bible had 2 verses
1/ you must always do what you think is right
2/ everyone has a right to their own belief

once you have done enought thinking to understand the whole bible you qualified
