Well, a major Japanese newspaper, Asahi Shimbun, did a few stories on him, starting with his departure from SF.  Likely they’ll do a follow up with his arrival.

Amazing to imagine a major country national newspaper —the Times of London, Le Monde, the New York Times, etc etc - nowadays doing articles on a singlehanded sailor.  Horie-san is obviously a big figure in Japan.

I further admire that after two months at sea his boat appears to be shipshape and Bristol fashion.  Well done.
