How well is the self tacking headsail working?
Is it better than an overlapping headsail?
We love the self tacker for over 10 knots, we have a Screecher that tacks to the bow that has a lock up top and 3:1 tack down bottom so we can create forestay like tension, this replaces the need for a Genoa, I would also mention we race under the OMR rating rule so that is the main reason we have that configuration.

Great Tri.
Can you supply some close-up shots of how the forward tramps are connected to the main hull?
I am building a Farrier F-85sr and I am always looking for better ways to do things.
Thanks

Hi Pacice,

We kept the front tramp attachments pretty simply asd mainly just sails and one person in there at a time.
The tramp has concave edges and a tensioned deyneema 6mm core line right around in the edge pocket.
Then we lash the corners to the pullpit up fornt and beam at the aft end.
Along the Hull we just have a series of Carbon tube/plate glue on pads to lash to vis two eyelts in the edge of the tramp.
It seems to be working fine.
