I live in Auckland mate, have a 25 year old son currently living in the States,  hence my very real interest in the political landscape in the US.

I do think the R's are doing everything in their power to become the ones in power and to dismantle democracy if they can- by gerrymander, electoral officials, division, lies and bullshit and the active prevention of votes not for them.

They are the minority in their own country,  the coloured folk and immigrants are the enemies- when in actual fact the immigrants and coloured folk keep the country functioning doing shit jobs no self respecting R would do.

They are taking a page out of the facist handbook and sowing distrust, fear and division, they are already burning books -how far away will they be from applying labels and building camps I wonder?

Trump's border camps for kids were deliberately cruel, they announced this policy because they thought it was a clever way to scare Hispanic migrants into not coming into the US. And of course, because torturing brown people is always popular with their base.

So, how close are Republicans to building concentration camps? So close they're already there.
