I’ve seen the photo a few times (w/out sparks) but never the vid, exactly how I imagined it. But I thought she’d jump up after several seconds; smart little gal right there wearing the asbestos knickers for hotwork per OSHA requirements.
I suspect that’s staged: the grinder is brand new, the guard is still on, she’s not actually cutting anything off, junior in the background is just fucking around with the saw, and the workspace is much too clean. But good humor nonetheless, still gets a thumbs up.
