Anyone besides me ever read "All Tomorrow's Parties"? I was just thinking about the one rule for handling a chain gun*:

"never point it at anyone or anything you don't want totally fucked up"

*It wasn't actually a gun, more of directional mine & actually fired hunks of razor sharp chain, that's the way Gibson described it anyway.

(The Borowitz Report)—Kevin McCarthy’s tenure as Speaker of the House got off to an awkward start as the California congressman asked “whatever joker” hid his gavel to return it at once.

“O.K., guys, you’ve had your fun,” McCarthy said, his voice barely audible over the derisive hoots of his fellow-Republicans. “I’m going to count to ten, and then I expect to have my gavel back.”

“Kev knows how count to ten?” Representative Matt Gaetz asked, after which members of the Freedom Caucus egged him on by chanting, “Gaetz! Gaetz! Gaetz! Gaetz!”

I disagree.

Correct and consistent discipline isn't a fetish when it comes to guns!

The order of 2 of the 4 rules moves but #1 never does. I was taught:
  1. Treat all guns as if they are always loaded.
  2. Keep your finger off the trigger until your sights are on target and you have made the decision to shoot.
  3. Never let the muzzle point at anything that you are not willing to destroy.
  4. Be sure of your target and what is behind it.
My fav is Rule 1. Even if someone safely clears a gun in front of me and hands it to me, I'm also going to safely clear it for my own peace of mind.

See rule 1...
I just mean you can tell the ones that weren't raised with guns and are just posturing. I had never seen that stiff finger around anyone that didn't learn about guns from youtube. People that pick up the gun fetish in their 20's and beyond are usually fucking scary to be around.
