If someone had a perfectly good b&g 213 on a vertical wand - what parts do you recommend to upgrade to your a+t components - and what benefit does that provide?

You can buy the improved PCB, bearings and vane which are all interchangeable with the 213 or if you send the vertical wand to us then we will fit a whole new sensor to this. See for parts and for vertical wand options. Please see the below data sheets for more information.

I saw somewhere that the a+t MHU will have an NMEA 0183 output version? Is this available and will it work with the B&G ws converter to get it into an nmea 2000??

You want to connect this directly to the H5000 processor, not via the n2k network. The solution will benefit from the improved data rate.

Good timing. Been meaning to pick up a spare 213 PCB as a backup for our next offshore race this summer.

I have the B&G 213 1m vertical wand… it looks like I could just get the new a+t Vane assembly & PCB.

Or do I also need to swap the upper /lower bearings and wind cups?

Two points regarding above. Yes A+T do make an NMEA0183HS version so this will work with the H5000 adaptor. The data from this is undamped, unlike that from the B&G WS.

Any of the A+T parts can be swapped, they are all separately interchangeable with B&G 213 wind sensor
