What they say on their website is:

”Complementing broadcaster partnerships, the America’s Cup will also make extensive live coverage, race highlights and clips available online for free”

I think that means that if someone doesn’t buy the rights in your country, you can watch for free.  However, if someone has bought the rights (below), access will be determined by them.

I'm not so sure - I'm pretty sure the deal is 'unless you are free-to-air, you can't have exclusive rights, only broadcast rights'.

GD has been pretty emphatic that no one should have to pay to watch, from *anywhere*.

So, the question is, are those channels free to air? TVNZ is for kiwis, but the rest?

It sure has, actually I'll be on the beast in the photo. A bit scary, having seen it in action!
That’s awesome.  I’m really pleased for you!  I can stop making placards now.

If I were you I’d leave my camera at home and just watch, but I suspect that’s not the point....

Fuck ya!!!! Congratulations, so stroked for you! All that hard work as a SA spy pays off.

Again to the fellow from my island home bda who didn't get that well treated once the races started, but gave us the only info from the work up...hope you are well, and thanks again.

Nicely sums up AC36. Every team and nation involved has a rich history, and any one of the four will be a worthy winner. Sadly as TH said there's only two types of sailors, those who have won the cup, and those who haven't. Bring it on. Maybe next time for the SAAC entry, these people look too serious.

This link an anarchist provided seems to show what countries will have americascup.com and digital
channels streaming AC36 content. Just about every country.

Thanks! Here’s hoping.

Will pay the dang $175 if necessary but will wait and see first. I am a prisoner to Comcast for landline, internet and TV to the tune of $220/mo, would be really nice if 626 in Seattle works, even if (it looks like) slightly time-delayed.

If LR does not make it to the Match then JS would be good on the broadcast. He was with PJ for the final race in AC32 Valencia (maybe earlier races too?) and was highly perceptive while PJ was blathering on, about the wind dying, then stopping, then coming in from 180 deg filling in from the left where (behind, and down a penalty) ETNZ had taken a flyer, leading to that incredible finish. It was very good by JS.

The UK TV schedules indicate SKY showing the Christmas Competition from 2am live UK time (and repeated at 9-11am) on race days next week.

Although BBC claim to be showing it too, I don't see it in any schedule I have available.
