Access panels for floatation tanks

I’m looking for access panels for flotation tanks.

Maybe 1-1/2 or 2 ft^2,

won’t be walked on or otherwise assaulted,

able to withstand hydrostatic head of  2’ in both directions,

preferably hinged versus loose.

Recommendations?

Bomar has a very wide range, from bomb-proof down.  THeir gray series plastic hatches look to me like they’re in the ballpark of what I need.  There are several vendors of similar hatches.  (Beckson, Armstrong, Tempress).    I haven’t seen any spec of waterproof-ness of any of them. Does such data exist?

The plastic ones are generally claimed as not deck hatches so tight but not proof is my impression.

What Zonker said.

2ft of head is approx 1 PSI so your 2 sq ft hatch has a load of approx 288 lbs on it. So no inexpensive hatch is going to remain sealed in both directions.  Though maybe in the compression direction.
