Botin's designed a boat that could only perform in the upper wind range.  Patriot was garbage in mid to low wind.
I don't think that was Botin's fault. The sail and rig designers failed to produce a "power plant" that could work in the lower ranges. That was ETNZ's big plus, that they could get the boat with the smallest foils to still work in the light stuff.
