Yes, please, I hope, I'll get an online slot and the chance to ask questions.
Immediate thoughts:

1) What has caused them to re-enter this time around?

2) What do they expect to gain from the F1 tie-up?

3) Do they feel that F1 tie-ups will be decisive enough that anyone without one will be at a significant disadvantage?

4) How do they feel about the protocol restricting the boats for AC 38?

But I'm sure collectively we can improve on those

a) who's going to drive?

b)any tie in with the SailGP team?

c)how significant are your disadvantages as a new entrant against the teams who did AC36?

d)do you seriously expect us to believe the answer to a) is Ernesto??

Betcha Ernesto is on the boat at least some of the time.

I wonder if the Protocol clauses sailor-restriction-wise about time spent in-country, prior employment within a sailing team, etc, would also apply to (say) Alinghi? Guessing not, but maybe?

Anyway, great to see this official confirmation coming. I wonder if Red Bull or UBS will be the headline sponsors?

Why would you be guessing not? The restrictions seem almost precisely aimed at Alinghi.
I guess you're right. Maybe I was trying to wrap my head around if only sailors who have specifically been employed precisely by Alinghi on their various recent racing circuits are eligible. Psarofaghis (sp?) for example?

Must be dependent on the precise Prot wording agreed to by CoD/COR..

See protocol 30.2. Nationality is based on either being a passport holder or being resident at least half-time over a 3 year period in March 2018-2021 i.e. prior to the AC37 cycle. It's got nothing to do with having been employed by a team. Psarofaghis was born in Switzerland so at a guess, he is a passport holder.

There is also this key qualifier:

30.2      Nationality criteria
For the purposes of Article 30.1, a crew member shall be deemed to be a “national” of a country if
they satisfy any one (or more) of the following criteria:

(a)      such crew member held a valid passport (or other valid proof of citizenship accepted by
ACE) of the country of the yacht club that the Competitor represents as at 17 March 2021; or

(b)      such crew member was physically present in the country of the yacht club that the
Competitor represents (or acting on behalf of such yacht club at the venue for AC36) for a total of
548 days between (but excluding) 17 March 2018 and 18 March 2021. If

Hmmmm.... I wonder who might benefit from that particular carve-out?

Only just noticed that the nationality rule was carefully written to ensure that pretty much any sailor in Ac36, irrespective of which country they represented or their nationality, could represent NZ for AC 37, because of the time they spent in country between those dates.

No such options the other way of course

I guess there's more than one way to interpret it - either foolish or admirable (or perhaps both - of course it was both!) the way Ernie doggedly kept the helm as USA just walked away in that final race.

So contrary to what you've said till now, the Nationality rule isn't as restrictive as you've said.

Sailors can hold a passport, sail for the team they were with last time, reside in another country for a certain amount of time, or sail for NZ.

Plenty of options.

I'm sure Tom Slingsby doesn't like his options. He looked good at Moth worlds, pity he can't play here.

Only guy with a few choices is Goodie, he has three (maybe four) possibilities. Most sailors have one, or none at all.
