@Chobani Sailor

Even Stingray should know that the Quality of the Competition on SailGP is much higher compared to the GC32 Tour.

Yes they have 7 Boats over there at the GC32 but aside from the Rockwool Team, who has almost their entire Danish SailGP competing there, the level is not that high IMO!

The Alinghi Sailing Team may have put themselver in a false sense of security methinks.

What do you think?

I agree.  Personally, it was the article headline that made me knee jerk with was there any competition even there.....

It's like beating up on the Little Sisters Of The Poor

There were 7 boats at this event, plus 4 in the owner/driver part of the event. Alinghi is keeping reasonably busy, as are GBR and TNZ but in SailGP instead.
wow even one of the sailgp teams were there

from 2022 GC32 Racing Tour sets sail tomorrow with the GC32 Riva Cup (sail-world.com)

As previously reported, the Alinghi Red Bull Racing challenger for the 37th America's Cup is fielding two GC32 teams. Alinghi Red Bull Racing - SUI 8 will have its usual skipper in Arnaud Psarofaghis while Alinghi Red Bull Racing - SUI 15 will be helmed by Maxime Bachelin, fresh from a 49er Olympic campaign.

The reason for the Swiss challenger's second GC32 Racing Tour team is partly an exercise in training up young Swiss crew but also as an assessment platform, to source talent for their America's Cup crew. Personally Bachelin, 24, is a highly experienced foiling sailor having raced on Moths, the 69F skiff and on the GC32's little brother, the two person Flying Phantom foiling catamaran.

If they could throw a few more fonts in the logo it would go a long way.
So much for another beautiful alingi boat.

Always did love the Alinghi Swirl iconography, designed to look like two boats circling each other in the prestart.

What is the correct URL for the SAAC Topic list? Seems to have changed, this old one is not working for me 404 Not Found (sailinganarchy.com)

edit: am good using my iPhone but on Win11/Edge things are broken, will try figure that out

Thanks much. Downloaded Win/11 Chrome, works fine for me from there too, my Edge is redirecting the above to something that no longer works ( forums.sailinganarchy.com/forums/23/ )  - go figure! I do really like Edge and will try fix things but no biggy.
I believe the forum had a major backend upgrade recently so things might not necessarily work as they should

Make that "attempted backend upgrade". It was rolled back.
Not surprising really, this forum has been managed pretty lazily despite the massive traffic and registered accounts. The deletion of years of content a while back underlines how poorly it is run despite the potential.

I was running the website for a major regatta some years back and made the mistake of hosting way too much original content on our servers. Crashed our site when Sailing Anarchy linked to a couple of videos. I had some good advice from Clean behind the scenes and migrated all our media to other "major player" servers.

Just don't expect anything here to last forever

Get ready to meet the Alinghi Red Bull Racing sailing crew. T-minus 24 hours and counting.

... can anyone confirm that JS has officially signed for Luna Rosa Prada Pirelli yet?  :D
