The article was before the new nationality rule was announced. Not so sure Alinghi will still be interested now.

A very strict nationality rule was expected in case of ETNZ victory. The Kiwis never made it a secret. So I think the interest could be real despite it.
I don't think they were expected to be THAT strict Strider.

However, for me the real killer would have been if the design team had nationality rules applied and so yeah. Wankarelli might still be in.

You're correct, he has been consistent on nationality rules, reducing costs but less so, if ever, on defending abroad.
