Nils Frei sounds 'iffy' about when they will start sailing the AC75 they purchased from ETNZ. If anyone cares to look into the Protocol, isn't there a window for when it can be sailed?

20 days of a 3 month window, one of which has gone. You'd think a bit of a giddy-up would be in order.

24.2.f
As an exception to the restrictions above, if a New Competitor purchases a Version 1
AC75 Yacht, such New Competitor will be entitled to sail that Version 1 AC75 Yacht
for a maximum of 20 Sailing Days between 17 June 2022 and 17 September 2022
subject to the provisions of the AC Technical Regulations.

Shipping delays out of Auckland did create some of the delay. Once you spot Dean Barker in Barcelona you know they are about to go sailing

Why is Alinghi not sailing right now?? More importantly I am shocked by the lack of discussion on this matter here. Are y’all asleep at the wheel or are y’all too busy bitching about Ukraine. This is a big deal. You never have enough time in the Americas. Cup. They had 17 days of total sailing over 90 days. Now they have 17 days over 40 days. Which mean they will have to basically sail every other day to maximize their allotment. We know this will
Not happen so they will leave sailing days in the table. A major fuck up in my opinion. The learning curve on these boats are steep. If they would have properly planned they would have been sailing once a week starting June 17th, using the information to improve their performance over the span of 3 months. Really shocking from a EB team.

America's Cup: Alinghi confirms they are almost ready to go in Barcelona.

In a Tweet sent earlier today the Swiss America's Cup Challenger Alinghi Red Bull Racing have advised they are almost ready to launch their AC75, formerly Emirates Team NZ's Te Aihe, in Barcelona. The former twice winner of the America's Cup will be the first team of the 2024 America's Cup to commence sailing.

ARBR are so far the only New Team of the current America's Cup.

The image below appears to be ARBR arriving at their base in Old Port of Barcelona prior to the final fit-out ahead of going sailing.

If the usual process is followed, the AC75 will go through a period of testing of Foil Control and other underwater foiling systems on the dock, then the mast is stepped, followed by towing trials and then some very tentative test sailing.

Because they are Challengers from the 2021 America's Cup, other teams cannot begin sailing until September 17, 2022 - either in their second generation AC75, or AC40 when they are fitted out and ready to sail.

Maybe they had to modify the control systems if they're going to go the Cyclor route on this boat.

It has been discussed. You are the one who seems to have been asleep.
