Maybe that boat was not as complete as what we thought, maybe a bunch of it got Cannibalized for ETNZ's B2 and so Alinghi is trying a bunch of retrofit parts?

Offshore.
What is the go with the bowsprit …..

It was a measured in part of the original boat, and theres nothing in the rules excluding it from the definitions of a legacy AC72 so at least my armchair guess is that removing it would count towards the percentage of modification allowed.

So the AC75 went from self righting, to not self righting, to now not even stable with both arms fully down with no sails up?

What a class! Trickle down incoming!
Trickle indeed. https://www.sailingscuttlebutt.com/2022/08/25/photos-storm-damage-in-corsica/

incase you were unaware boats getting flattened in lots of wind has become pretty regular recently…

They didn’t even have foils, were at anchor and more stable than the AC yachts… whatever next.

Drama much? All types of boats can get flattened or worse under bare poles in a squall. I found myself on a Corsair under bare pole in sustained 35 knots (gusting higher) once (after reefing etc, it was still too much sail, so we ended up taking everything down. not an easy task) and even with just the profiled mast alone it was a handful.
