Yup I do, and I stand by it. If they were as good as you make out they would’ve hit the ground running not taking two fucking years and copying everybody else’s homework to get up to speed.

Surely there will be no flying backwards and forwards to Auckland. They are a green team and that would just be ridiculous.
Maybe they will commute in the foiling speedster they wanted everyone to buy.

Yep, and I stand by it. Without the NZ team, the circuit had no credibility, so its no surprise Coutts threw the kitchen sink at the NZ to get them involved. NZ gave his circuit credibility.
As for taking 2 years... you realise this is only season 3 and the NZ team wasn't in season 1, so that would be 1 year, not 2.
It took them 1 year to go from newbies to dominant. Not bad anyones books.

You know they are different events? Like they have absolutely nothing to do with each other in terms of the boats, the teams, the personnel, the shore crew, the event management, the organisers, the sponsors venues, etc

Sure, Russell Coutts, Larry Ellison, the Emirates Team NZ sailing team, F50's developed from AC50's using trickle down tech from the AC. They're different in name only. Everything else is the same. Hell, SailGP has even started using AC footage and history to promote their event! The AC, was and always will be the pinnacle event. NZ have dominated the AC for the last two cycles, and SailGP for the last two events, soon to be a 3rd. Only a real hater would deny NZ's dominance.
