I think it's good if the waves are going to be bigger. Comes back more towards "real" sailing where you have to deal with a variety of conditions.
It will still be foiling and so it's good that V2 arms will be longer; it may help keep them above the BCN chop.

What we do not want to see is races where one or both boats are not foiling, it makes a complete farce of the race given the speed difference between foiling vs displacement in these boats. We saw that disaster in Auckland and we see it too often in SailGP too. The only 'real' sailing in foilers is when you are foiling! :)

It is pretty funny that Kiwis are the common denominator on the worst behaved teams in the modern era.
That's a completely nonsensical statement because kiwis have been a part of pretty much every modern era team. The same could be said of Australians.

Look, its real simple... always has been, always will be. All you have to do is win.
Once you win, you get to set the rules according to the governing document. Thats literally ALL a team has to do.
There's nothing else to it.
To the winner go the spoils.
To the loser goes the opportunity to get better and win.... or quit.
Its that simple.
You can complain about "behaviour" all you want, but its pissing into the wind. Its irrelevant, its useless. You can get on your high horse and bitch till the cows come home, but thats not going to win you the Cup, as LR have found out time and time again.
As the saying goes in the AC "There is no second place"
Its about winning.

ARBR getting hammered by the sea state again.

RG comments on key points, October 21, 2022:

Luna Rossa gets on the water for the first time since the 2021 America's Cup to conduct foiling tests of their LEQ12 surrogate yacht.
Alinghi Red Bull Racing continued test sailing off Barcelona in the AC75. They ran into an increasing breeze and awkward sea state, terminating the session with the breeze at 17kts, and making some spectacular contact with the confused seas and significant swell.
Emirates Team NZ did another short sailing session, in moderate breezes in the AC40, without incident. They confirmed that they will take delivery of their second AC40 before Christmas.
American Magic did not sail
Brits yet to reveal their LEQ12, surrogate yacht and are presumed to have their AC40 delivered from China.

Umm…. The U.S. has won so many times I can’t be bothered to count.
It's pretty easy to count. The last time an American driver won was 2007. Other than that, the skipper/driver/tactician positions are all kiwi/aussie since 1995, which is just a tiny bit before the US olympic sailing program turned into a pile of steaming shit. American dollars win international sailing events. Americans? Not so much.

1995: Coutts/Butterworth
2000: Coutts/Butterworth
2003: Coutts/Butterworth
2007: Baird/Butterworth (Coutts unlawfully excluded, received multi-million dollar settlement)
2010: Coutts/Spithill/Ashby
2013: Coutts/Spithill/Ainslie
2017: Burling/Ashby
2021: Burling/Ashby

Don't know why I am engaging here, but you'll have to take Coutts off the boat for 2010 and 2013. John Kostecki gets a tactician slot in both of those.
Also JS could be considered an american driver depending on how you want to look at nationality.
