Take an AC40 out into 20 knots of breeze and you can be absolutely certain of an interesting afternoon. And Alinghi Red Bull Racing certainly had a very interesting one off the waterfront in Barcelona as the sailors rotated in to give everyone maximum time on the water and the clear brief to live well outside of their comfort zone was more than evident.

In interview after sailing, Andrea Emone, herself a very accomplished grand prix racer and iQFOiL sailor with ambitions towards the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, gave a fascinating insight into the world of Technical Data Analysis. Talking about the sensors onboard the team’s AC40 and the AC75 she offered: “Sensors are not only for performance but plenty of other things depend on sensors so I couldn't tell you an exact number but what I can tell you is that it’s a lot, much more than you can imagine…and one sensor can create more than one variable and so imagine how big is the matrix of the numbers that each boat of this type is generating so we have to do a very good selection of what we want to see each day before going to the water that's for sure.”

Alinghi Red Bull Racing have apparently scooped up ANDREA EMONE who sailed and was a part on the Spain SailGP Team in Season 2 as Data Analyst.

But of course according to @Curious2 , @Horn Rock , @The_Alchemist and others SailGP is a complete bogus Series and should be absolished. It doesn't offer anything especially for Women, etc to get into the AC.

I am so sick and tired of some people here trying to blast SailGP it isn't even funny anymore.

Most people (maybe not you) do not want SailGP because they hate Larry & Russell. Curious2 and Clean have made that pretty clear to me.

And to be quite frank why are you so angry at Russell. Did he have a date with your wife or girlfriend? C'mon!

Thanks for posting that Vid mate. 19 Secs Andrea Emone comes into Picture. She has a very impressive CV. I think she worked in Aerospace Engineering/Data or something like that before landing on the Spain SailGP Team in Season 2 and now Alinghi RB. Nice work Andrea!

Don't lie again. I have never said that SGP is a complete bogus series and should be abolished. You are a complete and utter liar.

Not quite assuming he defends successfully and it technically belongs to "RNZYS" after 2024 AC and doesn't go to Switzerland...but he did sell the soul of the Cup
