In the wild.
Jean must be very proud of his daughter, already.
Here she is 7 years ago, possibly dreaming of a mini.
Note she got as much hair as her father, and giggles plenty too.

Here some non paywall news about this project.
Including cost of a turnkey proto... auch, inflation hurts.

Shortened to 50 miles due to weather conditions, the first leg of the Plastimo Lorient Mini 6.50, raced for the first time in mixed doubles, took place on Thursday in squally weather, like the one that hit 1053 Dagard/Sasha Lanièce/Alxis Loisin

Contested over two races, the Plastimo Lorient Mini was won in prototypes by the duo Federico Waksman/Vittoria Ripa Di Meana (Repremar Logistics), and by Paul Cousin and Marie Zugolaro (Biocombustibles Group) in series. The Italian Grand Prix saw wins for Francesco Farci and Pietro Mureddu (Gintonic) in the series, Gaby Bucau and Valentina Fissore (Humans by Nature) in the prototype.

Federico Waksman is from Uruguay, a first win for South America in a mini race AFAIK.
I know it is doublehanded, but still nice to see.

Pornichet Select 6.50: doubled by Jacques Delcroix, winner again!

The Pornichet Select 6.50 is the first solo regatta of the season counting for the French elite offshore racing championship. Very important to get the entry ticket for the Mini Transat, therefore. First Proto, Jacques Delcroix signs a double: he had already won this race last year!

OK
After a fierce fight, it was finally the winner of the previous edition, the young Jacques Delcroix, who arrived first Proto aboard the Mini 753 - Team Actual . Just behind him, Laure Galley, Mini 1048 – DMG MORI , took second place. In recent years, women – who are not classified separately – have been performing well. In third position, a new impression of déjà vu, since it was Victor Mathieu – Mini 967 - Univers 6.50 (2 nd Proto in 2022) who won the battle for the last miles against the Spaniard Carlos Manera – Mini 1081. Of course, we are not forgetting Marie Gendron – Mini 1050, 5 th finish , who built her own boat. Kudos to them.

Neck-to-neck Series

As was the case for the Protos, the production boats pulled through until they arrived at the Port of Pornichet. Bruno Lemunier – Mini 893, whose colorful hull caught the eye of photographers and videographers, came out on top. The barely uncorked champagne, Amaury Guérin – Mini 996 - Satov Group , took second place on the podium. Finally, Léo Bothorel – Mini 987 - Secours Populaire , came third in Series. Well done again.

Caroline Boule shows her new boat Nicomatic (Mini650 No 1067) and tells the story how she started the project. The boom looks really weird, would love to know the reasoning behind this shape.

@ 2:00 for a bit of discussion.
It's like a boomless main sort of set up - but with a boom that stays on one side only ???

Yes, like half a windsurf wishbone (and curved too), main reason to have a true deck sweeping main I guess, seems to me she didn't have this boom right from the beginning, no ?
