A place to discuss the technological differences between the competing teams and how it will effect the results.
Don't talk it up too much. I had a decksweeper main on my 30' catamaran in 2001 and I was by no means the first. It is a good idea, as SA has been a place of innovation in the past ie:
The decksweeper main sail has been mentionned here as early as 2011 (2 years before ETNZ closed the gap in 2013) and 4 years before Mischa made one for his A-Cat in 2015 for the Nederland National
The first decksweeper main I saw was on the C-cat Aquarius V, circa 1976Don't talk it up too much. I had a decksweeper main on my 30' catamaran in 2001 and I was by no means the first.
I don't. The majority of the last event was spent on foils. So ability to get on the foils will have little benefit, less than even a marginal gain in top speeds.Do people think that the new designs will all favour larger foils and larger hull bustle? Are the better designs going to be the ones that can get on the foils quicker at detriment to their speed whilst foiling?
