How about we meet you 2nd amendment folks halfway and offer a trade? You give up your guns, but we’ll let you buy tanks.

You’re never going to overthrow a tyrannical government with your silly little guns, but tanks, tanks would give you a much better chance. That’s far more representative of the 2nd’s true meaning.

Now lefties, hear me out on this.
1. At over $10 million a pop, far less folks can go buy one.
2. Ammo is really expensive. No need for made up taxes.
3. It’s a vehicle, so you’ll need liability insurance at the very least. (Full coverage if you finance it)
4. It’s hard enough to conceal, let alone carry, so no issue there.
5. Hard to sneak into schools.
6. Most parents would immediately know if their child stole their tank.
7. No where to park in any major city, so it’d be hard for gang bangers to use.
8. They are single shot, with no magazines of any size.
9. Even if the occasional one fires a round straight into the side of school bus, it wouldn’t even crack the top five for typical school shootings.

I believe that ticks the major talking points for both sides, so how about it? Can we negotiate?

That John Q Rambo thinks he is going to successfully repel a tyrannical government is laughable.

If we are talking about something like what the defeated ex-President was hoping to accomplish, we have to assume he has the backing of the US military. Meal Team Six would be target practice for the real deal. Fully automatic weapons, drones, helicopter gunships, etc. will make quick work.

If you seriously want to compare with Ukraine's plight (which MagentaLine attempts in Post #635), that is what the US military is there for. Besides, who's likely to invade? And, if that WERE to happen, how many of these ammosexuals will step up like Ukrainian civilians did?
