Did you have a solution?
You don't want to hear a solution you just want to distract away from the conversation that in the USA on average there are two shootings a day in which four or more people are shot. You want to distract away from the fact that guns are the number one killer of children in the USA. You want to discuss anything, absolutely anything except that maybe, just fucking maybe, that the country with one of the highest gun ownership rates also has the highest gun violence rates.

Who gives a fuck that kids don't know if they'll come home from school today.

Who gives a fuck about the vets that you so eagerly go on about supporting have such easy access to guns and kill themselves because as a country you can't bring yourself to support them in health care, housing, or a job that pays more than a third world country.

You don't want to listen to anyone's solutions because you're desperately trying to justify keeping an archaic amendment that has been marketed and manipulated to pour dollars into big corporations while breeding and amplifying fear and hate.

So no, we're not going to provide you with solutions because we all know your stupid transparent game of deflection distraction and bullshit.

I missed your solution.

The problem is not the migrant thing. It is a violent person thing.
You have once again shown gun control works, a nut job didn't manage to kill anyone in a country with gun controls. This is the mass shooting thread yeah? Aren't there 62 pages of examples linked here showing guns are orders of magnitude better at killing people?
Maybe it was you or it was StupidBob, or ... whoever but do you notice no-one died? This kind of bonehead logic has been used before on these boards, see the car crashing into migrants upthread.

I think part of the problem is talking in absolutes, the same tactic is used against changing policy to renewables.
"It's too late, there are already too many guns, you can't buyback or regulate now"
Is a pretty shit argument, all that chromoly could be melted into something productive for the world.

I was at a lowes a couple weeks ago when a 2x10 fell off a cart with those racks. It must have landed flat on the steel, it made a horrendous echoing bang like a shotgun. I spun around, then scolded myself for my stupidity. If it had been the next mass shooting I would have died.

This is America. Dive for cover, then see what the noise is, if you want to live.

Hard to "like" something so correct.
