I hear people saying and I see people trying to infer that it’s a gang problem, but I cant find any actual data that gangs are disproportionately driving up the rate of murders that involve firearms.

I know people want it to be about guns. But is it?
Or is it something deeper in the culture that makes men go out and kill multiple strangers for no apparent reason. No one else does this with the frequency that it happens in the USA. So you can't blame video games either.
US Military conditioning within the culture maybe? A history of wiping out opposition? natives, strikers, students? etc. Stunted emotions? Lack of genuine respect for life? General immaturity?

I sail with a banger from South Chicago and he gets pissed every time someone blindly blames the US gun-related death statistics on gangs and drugs. This is a gross disservice to all the responsible gang members out there.
The majority of voters, by about 3 million, disagreed with Trump in 2016.
