Anyone have pics of my I-14 sailing?

...in Long Beach Midwinters, Sunday Feb 19. First sail and never took a picture of the boat. Dumb. It's difficult to brag about my new boat without pics. Here's a few from the weeks leading up to the launch, which are bragworthy in their own right, but I'm hoping someone found this boat in their viewfinder while on the water.

Where did you buy the rig?
It's a CST 16. I bought it from Kris Bundy. It's the rig he used in the 2006 Worlds, but considered too flexible by today's standards. I used it for a few years on the Shu1, and will use it on the Shu2 for a while until the dust settles a bit on the stiffness/head size/single spreader/double spreader experiments others are conducting now.

I'm hoping the Southern Calif boys and girls will be waking up soon and give me some leads on photos. Otherwise, I didn't launch it yet (pics or it didn't happen).

Thanks for the kind comments everyone. So far I have responses from Austria, Hawaii, Netherlands, Sweden. Sadly missing from this discussion are the folks who may know about pictures -- Southern Californians.

Boat looks awesome both in photos and in person! Unforunately, don't have any more info. on photos for you. Somehow I think we'll be able to get some great ones in SD at NOOD and SuperCup.

Thanks Brad. I imagine Renee will be at NOOD and SuperCup doing her always excellent I-14 photography. In the meantime, I guess I have the stealth 14, camoflaged to look like a piece of driftwood, and flying under the radar...

Very nice Shu, looking forward to more pics. Are the 2 other west coast woodies still sailing?

One I think is underwraps in the Shilshole dry storage yard.

You mean of course your two beautiful cedar strip planked Mad Cow boats. Brad V is sailing his in Seattle, and I think Kevin is still sailing his occaisonally out of San Luis Obispo. I had the priveledge of sailing Brad's meticulously maintained boat last summer. Very sweet sailing boat that is easy to steer, and easy to tip over too! You definitely explored the narrowest end of the rule with those.

I hope you get a chance to see Brad's; it is in beautiful condition, down to the smallest detail. The most loved boat I've seen.

Call the office at ABYC and get Rich Robert's information. He's the one that was shooting photography, and, while he only posts a select few on the ABYC website, he generally shoots a LOT of pictures. Perhaps he has one of your boat? Look on the ABYC website... click on Midwinters.... there's a section that says PHOTOS that you can click on, maybe your boat was one of the few he posted to the website? In any event, the ABYC office may be able to help you get a hold of Rich Roberts. Hell.... shoot Rich an email at [email protected]

Good to know.

So are you going to post more pics?
Apparently none of it rigged up and sailing until the NOOD regatta in San Diego.

Here's a few more.

View from the Back, I tried Rich Roberts, but somehow he didn't get any.
