I saw this definition of “Woke” the other day. It means a lot of good things to decent people. And we all know it means a lot of bad things to bigots:

Monday this week. Lunch with a couple I had known for 50 years.

I told them that until I stopped work and started hanging out with different (non-professional) people, that I had no fucking idea how racist and misogynist the average Aussie was.

Starting with the bullshit we saw with our first female Prime Minister, then through to some recent well published court cases, the disgusting attitude to females still shocks me. I don't get it, see no reason for, it does not make sense.

The well educated women listened politely, nodded, then said: "Something we have been dealing with our entire lives."

So fuck anyone who uses the term 'Woke'. There are people I know that I will not speak to now if I don't have to.

WOKE. Ironic isn't it, that only something so grammatically incorrect will resonate to the dumb as fuck uneducated masses. And I haven't even started on the racism ...

There's a reason why Aussie women (and Brits, and EnZed) travel either alone, or in pairs to other parts of the world.
This is the same reason why Canadian, and USAian men are so welcome to Australia and EnZed by the female population.
Sure Canadian and USAian men are complete assholes, but not as complete when it comes to women as Aussies or Kiwis.
We don't generally assume that if a woman smiles at us as we walk through the door, that we're going to get laid. Sure we have a spark of hope, but we don't consider it a done deal.

Floridians are looking at jacked up home insurance rates, to the point that large companies are abandoning the state in droves leaving the state to pick up the bill.

Drinking water is fast becoming scarce, Miami and other areas are frequently under water and the Gov has started an unnecessary war with one of the states biggest employer and reasons for tourism.

Why isn’t the GOP focusing on any of these problems? Why just bathrooms?
