The Esplanade is a great little place, not flash, but really friendly and good value. It's got a bit of serious yachting history too. I'll let you find out for yourself, but Sir Thomas Lipton is a major player.  ;)

Ponsonby Club Hotel more commonly known as the Gluepot.

Largest public bar in Australasia for a time.

 Serving Waitemata Sparkling Pale Ale as Lager was to German for the locals to swallow.

Ivans restaurant was my go to after wed night races.........
Jeeezus. After Wednesday Night Races, I was never in any proper condition to go to a restaurant - or drive home for that matter. A bit older and wiser now, thankfully. Great times though. ;-)
