TF will be there... at the other end of the fleet.

Maybe in 2012 I'll trade up to being on a F-85SR...

If we are posting results this week put me down for a win in my division :)

See ya all there

Cheers

Garry martin xl2 is at the states for a dimension polyant conferrance. I wont be racing in it this year but if someone needs a crew I can sail some races. Anyone wishing to post action of the event can do so from my computer.

I don't have a list of entrants but there's about 40 multis entered and today was the invitation race and I've attached some photos of the start of Division 1 and the first five boats across the finish line were 1st Mad Max (Grainger 33 ft cat), 2nd Nacra 36 (36 ft off the beach racing cat) 3rd Vodoo Spirit (Egan 31 ft tri) , 4th Indian Chief (Grainger 31 ft cat) and 5th Bare Essentials (Grainger 28 ft tri) 6th Wilparina 11 (Farrier F32R tri)

regards

Thanks Tony, was just chatting to Tim off Essential 8 and he said it was a great day.Very happy with the new toy and very aware of the learning curve.

Sounds like a great turn out, should be some interesting stories to come.

The forecast was for 15 knts Nth/Easter but ended up being over 20 knts

didn't see any reefs, did see a lot of spray as per tony's photo

a small tri ( might be a multi 23, not sure, called the experiment) capsised while in third of fourth place in Div. 2

All the multi were pushing it on the leg from pelican to pulbah and from pulbah back to skye point, the capsized multi righted itself within 25 mins and kept on sailing. And this isn't racing yet, just an invitational race.

A broken mast to a red trailer tri, some broken halyards and other bits and peices to other boats, noticed that two tribes pulled out without a forsail?. I saw that mad max had its main sheets wound off a lot (see photo above)

We got a 2.5 tonne tri to over 22 knts while having no stearing yee haa. Noted that, more crew are wearing wet suits rather than wet weather gear.

A bit of noise about the 35ft beach cat entering a yacht race(I think it is the old one), lots of boats from Victoria and Sth. Aus. Lots of new sails on diferent multi's. even though there was a few no-shows, there is still more multi's every time

A great sight on an idealic location, the forcast is for 5 days of the same.
