The rest of the vacuous fucks here flip flop.

Standing for something deserves the appropriate kudos.
Ah - so because I supported a government that introduced GST, got a shit load of guns out of the community, and operated the government accounts in surplus, I should support a government that allegedly has multiple instances of corruption (Makenzie sports rorts, Porters blind trust, Car parking pork barreling), pissed millions away as subsidies to profitable businesses during covid, was slow as fuck organising alternate vaccines, and is more likely to follow the leaders imaginary friend than climate scientists? Just because the party has the same name?

And if I don't, I'm a vacuous fuck who flip flops?

Occasionally I put in a reef when the wind blows a bit harder, or even change sail completely. Similarly, Canberra seems to be filling up with blow hards, so a change seems in order.

I will admit that the ALP are stronger on women's rights. Until a bloke who thinks he a women wants to play sport against them of course. Then the Trannie's rights usurp that of the women. You see this an example of how fucked up the ALP are. They can not agree on the meaning of their core value, wokeness.

I'm sure Lb can fill you in on similar scandals and corrupt behaviour from the party you are switching your vote to....

Now your handle, is it your IQ or intellectual age?

Only occasionally? Your sailing analogy misses the mark. Reefing or changing sails is simply a matter of adjusting the sail plan to suit the conditions. What you are doing is selling the yacht and buying a power boat.

Hey great response!

An appeal to someone else to do your thinking for you, and a schoolyard level insult.

Surely you could have come up with something along the lines of my ideas / morals are likely to fall apart as the election crosses the line, just like the cars were designed to? Or gone down the movie path with a reference to Stupidity being the appropriate deadly sin? Or even the count of the number of major promises that Labour will break if elected?

BTW - I'm not voting for Labour, I'll be voting for party lines Timmy before the labour candidate. But I understand that in voting for an independant I'm making it more likely that Labour will be able to form a minority government.

There's all this focus on independents, but I think its the minor parties that are the more interesting.

Liberal Democrats are shaping up as an interesting bunch.

Here in the Peoples Republic of Dan Andrews, they were about the only sensible voice through all the lockdown and mandate madness. Same approach at federal level wouldn't be a bad thing.

Hers where I give you some credit.

You understand that politics are about ideology and direction.

And you have the balls to maintain your principles.

The rest of the vacuous fucks here flip flop.

Standing for something deserves the appropriate kudos.

Standing for nothing deserves scorn and derision.

Something for everyone, fill your fucking boots.
Funny really.

What you mean to say is, you have absolutely no principles or ideology of your own and so you adopt wholesale what your political party has on offer. IOW you're a Party hack above all else and will stick with the Party regardless of what they do or say. No wonder you were a Shorten supporter, I can just see you nodding along when he said he agreed 100% with his leader even though he had NFI what the leader actually said.

No surprises there though. You've demonstrated your peerless hypocrisy many times over in the past.

Never mind, you probably were indoctrinated as a child and lack the mental ability to break the programming. I can make allowances for that.

I have own two yachts and am only selling one, the race boat. Still not sold yet but if you are interested I can send you the details. Or failing that can I interest you in the Story Bridge?
And BTW I don’t go ‘caravanning’ I go #vanlifeing. My wife is far too young and hot to be seen in a Jayco wanderer. This is our take on the camping lifestyle...

Regressive political leaders?  I am a believer that politicians aren't elected to lead, they are elected to follow the wishes of the voters but I wonder how even the most anti science climate denial person could think that investing in a non renewable resource is better than investing in ongoing energy solutions.

Given that something north of 11 billion per year is given to pollute our planet per year in coal subsidies (ignoring climate change coal mining and burning is stupidly dirty), how can a business led change to renewables be axed?

The LNP seems like a single issue party to me - COAL at all costs...

They have always been pro mining.

It's in their ideological DNA.

Their solution to pollution is public money for private companies.

But hey, Bill was accused of rape.....

Our national net debt at the end of this financial year is projected to be $631.5 billion AUD.
I guess it depends on whose numbers you believe (or choose to use). The parliament web site budget review 21-22 says "the Commonwealth government’s gross debt will be around $963 billion at 30 June 2022".

Using AUD1 = USD0.70 converts to USD671 billion so yeah, I forgot to convert to USD. Congratulations to you. But the point is still that Australia has a far greater debt than Greece.

A huge chunk of that GDP is from the sale of iron ore and coal, so not really a great indicator of how wonderful Australians are at international commerce. More a case of luck.

This is why education is so important.
How passive aggressive of you. This place will turn you into a rainbow ribbon–wearing leftie feminist before you know it.
