Yes to both geography and inebriation. I'm now a landlord in Tasmania, apparently. In another state?
That was for sale in FNQ 2 years ago at the same time as the E9.6 that was listed at my club

The $80k thread started with a post about the Elliott 10.5 High Anxiety, so it will be the first boat in this new thread.
Elliott 10.5 - High Anxiety
It is still for sale. The starting price was something like $79k and is now listed at $49k. Given the reputation of Elliott boats I'm a little surprised it has not sold, but it is an old boat (1988) and old boats don't seem to shift so well. The lifting keel splitting the cabin and original Volvo 2002 will be a negative and perhaps so to the age of the sails, even though they are top quality OneSails.

She left about 6 weeks agoThe listing for High Anxiety disappeared a few months ago. I just checked their AIS and it's now in Wellington NZ. Bloody Kiwi's keep buying our boats.
I would have loved to got HA, but the numbers didn't add up. The electronics were shot, new standing rigging needed, a total sail wardrobe and I heard the deck had some soft spots. Then it did not appear to have the speed of even XLR8 in Noumea which was racing with the original keel up until 2 or 3 years ago.High Anxiety is sitting in Evans Bay Wellington out on the hard. The Keel is off. Looks like they are doing a lot of work on it. Name has been peeled off and their are a lot of fiberglass patches on the hull. So someone is doing a decent amount of work on her. I will get a pic on my ride to work Monday.
Shhhhhhhhhhh I'm looking at grabbing a 10m racer/cruiser from the East after the WA borders open.Earlier in the thread someone posted a link to this

Not being familiar with the Sydney 32, I'm wondering if folk here can tell me if they're any good? From the basic size/weight/shape point of view they appear to have potential to go OK?
***edit***
Just found this which about covers it
Under offerI see that Smooth Criminal has had a big price drop down to $80k
Could be a good boat for Kiwiland as it may not suffer under their handicap system as bad as it seems SC does under AMS

Looks like the new owners are fixing some deck soft spots and various hull damage.I would have loved to got HA, but the numbers didn't add up. It needed someone with the budget to get it up to a decent standard.
Is the keel off or is that the top of the keel sticking through the cabin top?Looks like the new owners are fixing some deck soft spots and various hull damage.
