Nothing particularly interesting. 20 valve 4age, some forged bits in the bottom end and 306 degree cams. Comes standard with quad throttle bodies so with a bit of port matching etc they breath pretty well. Not that hard to get impressive peak power numbers (at 8200 rpm for my engine) bit harder to have decent torque from 4krpm up. Chasing the midrange power was where the time and money went. (plus the forged crank after the last one was 3mm out of true).

Peanuts compared to what Bigrpowr might have spent.

Having it in a road car that weighs just under 520 kilos makes it kinda fun though.
What car? A Lotus 7 rep???

I had a 4agze (supercharged) in a series 1 MR2. 160 HP at the rear wheels.

That was a fun car

Glen,

Sometimes peoples just hang on way too long and just don't know when to leave.

sometimes it's because they are to scare to move on, some think that they are too important and are full of themselfs   and the other is that they are just no good at their job and are just riding the gravy train till retirement sucking up to anyone in power and just using people to improve their own self importance.

Maybe it's time to move on and  that your time is done in AS.

“Sailing, perhaps like few other sports, has processes that enable the competitors to apply the rules themselves, and there is critical detail behind these processes. Read here to find out about 'facts found'.“

The timing is either unfortunate, or...

I know members of Pete's yacht club so I know it exists. Joining is a whole other kettle of fish! ;)
I use to be a member. Not many of us and you have to be invited. Since I live on the other side of the planet, I let my membership lapse. Only club I have been a member of in a long time.

Is it just me that finds the most interesting part of this thread a discussion about cars and pics of tits.....

Seems to me that AS and the Melb big boat thread are both no longer active because they don't exist

C'mon LB!

Whilst I applaud the sentiment and content....... There is no way in Hell anyone is gonna go for Sexy Time on a shoreline full of pebbles......

Can't even consider walking barefoot, let alone introducing your intimates to such heinous material.

Please maintain a shred of believability in these situations. ;)

Spreading out into HR as well now are we Glenn?

With everything that you have facilitated, you should reconsider your own future prospects.

Just letting people here know that opportunities exist.
Back'atcha Glenn.....

Take your own advice and recognise that opportunities outside of AS (and preferably Sailing altogether) lie elsewhere for you too.......

Let the Healing Begin!

While you are using AS time and budget to surf the interwebs, your response on the sister thread that you caused is still wanted.

Chop Chop......

Will AS consider anyone outside of Sydney in any case ?????
Rhetorical - I get it. Consider this:

History is full of organisations that reach similar levels of disconnection and ineptitude with their consumers and yet who do not cast their net wide or correctly whilst recruiting.....

The opportunity to reset and renergise with Fresh Blood and different outlook is lost.

Nepotistic recruiting behaviours within their own personal network ensures that the real talent is overlooked. The organisation's focus remains inward and the rot flourishes. It becomes an inbred culture. The opposite of good DNA.

The external advertising and GRS's sham invite above, is used as evidence of effort and wave off any claims that it is not a pukka recruitment process. Therefore, No case to answer.

It is always pure happenstance that the successful candidate was our friend, nephew, neice, neighbour, etc....... (Fill in as appropriate)
