Only way to stop that shit flow is with a new culture at the top. Simultaneously drain what shit is left off and pump a potent mix of "member rejection", "cooperation" or "suicide" invitations and a "new manifesto" pumped from the bottom back up.
Pick a Club suffering this same cultural disease and use it as a beta run to demonstrate this manifesto works before it is foisted upon national and international assemblies for expansion and tuning.
Simple matter of selecting a Club in your area that is no longer "fit for purpose" as a benchmark and as that "crash and crash through" dummy.
Selecting one in SEQ shouldn't be too hard it seems.

This is gloves off not playing by old fashioned outdated rules sitting in association style corporate structures. Take a leaf out of modern politics.
Spend say 6 months using online tools informing, building a case and when sufficient support in hand pounce.
The more grubby club pushback like cancelling memberships of promoters etc the better. Doesn't take long to paint a solid picture of a bunch of cunts with a self serving "born to rule" by succession mentality.

The problem that we have with AS is you need to get ride of most of the AS management and employees and start all over again if you want to rebuild AS.
The rot is so bad in AS that you need the broom to go through all of AS in order for our sport to grow. We need real sailors running our sport.

Suggestion - start a new club with revised articles of association, put term limits on the leadership positions - something like elected for a single 3 year term, can't run for *any* leadership position for 5 years subsequent.
You won't beat them and you'll shed a lot of tears trying. Better to ignore them and leave them wither.
Of course you'll have to design your own spiffy new logo and burgee and not have the 'Royal' as part of your club name, but if those things are important to you - shrug. Just tug your forelock & mutter under your breath into your beer.
