Back on the water with the Dog

Just got back from chasing DZ around for a few hours!

Seems everyone was a little tense ,as I was approached by a crew RIB as soon as I pulled in.

They kindly asked me not to post any close up shots.

Thought a little strange as there were photogs walking right alongside and probably closer than me.

However in respect for their wishes , I will not post any close in stuff !

Sorry guys, but don't want to bite the hand !

Still, looks though I may have some "cruising "stuff to temp you :p

Back soon after they have downloaded and I have had some dinner.

Teaser shot !!

cheers dal

Yet da-woody seemed to get pretty close with his pictures in the other thread. Makes no sense to allow some close up pictures but not others. Unless he had a super duper telephoto lens.

You should take that request as a compliment to both your skills and integrity.

Nothing much BMWO can do about someone taking pics of their boat on the open water, except to ask nicely that you honor their request.

One wonders what the response will be like for the other team that is sailing in a lake when others take pics of their boat when they finally start sailing.

Look what happened to Schnapi for taking pictures of a chair.

Nice!

So they were with the foils up for the moment.

I quite like how the foils look streamlined with the beams. Last time they were looking much more vertical

Dive,Dive,Dive !!!!!
It looks like that headsail can be reefed ... and it is hanked on the forestay?
Nice spotting! Dal's pics just below proves it too.

But why would they want to be able to reef the headsail? They could just change sail no? maybe a bit heavy to move around though, but I still find it strange
maybe weight - rather reef than carry an extra sail. Everyone is saying its all about weight.

Adjustability mid-race? These sails might be too big to practically change during racing.

Now I could get some nice close in shots if this guy would get out of the way ;)

OOps ,sorry Giles .

I do like your camera

I do like your RIB

Nice hat too!!!

Notice bow down & look at the rake they are now carrying.

Also has the front beam been moved back or the center hull forward as the daggerboard looks a lot closer to the front beam.

Great pics & much appreciated.

Btw when you are out do you fly a SA burgee?
