Stingray is the fraud here.

One final topic: His endless Corona Woke Posting. Maybe you both should sleep with Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez in bed.
ok Mr "slingsby will never sign for AM", any rocks left in your glass house?  I for one was blissfully unaware of exactly where he lives or his views on c19. if you are attacking his AC posts on account of this then you're missing the point entirely. play the ball, not the man.

Oh Bull fucking shit. The vast majority of what stingray posts are just links to articles that most of us otherwise would not see. He’s pretty damn good at putting pieces together. Have you ever interpolated the design of a boat starting with a plastic chair?
I agree totally here, he's adding value to the conversation here. often linking stuff without adding personal comment

He lives in a State that IMO shouldn't be part of the United States of America. Washington, Oregon & California should secede from the US. Woke Policies after Woke Policies.
As I said "you get things wrong every time you post something”

Thanks for proving me correct yet again.

I guess you quickly forget how he railed against the Barcelona Bid say Europeans ain't interested in the AC, Auckland being the only viable Venue, etc.

And he posted endless conspiracy theories ranting & railing against Grant Dalton for no reason at all.

Stingray is the fraud here.

Not sure about stingray but my idea of a three way wouldn’t involve a dude, but I do love me some AOC, beauty and brains.

You are sooooo easy to wind up. Both you and 4 are special cases in this place. Every YC bar has a couple of guys like you, the old, annoying, bitter drunk guy at 2:30 in the afternoon, complaining about everything and being so certain about everything, talking and never listening.

And every internet forum has a couple of guys like you. Someone who knows nothing about the topic, and is clueless about absolutely everything, has too much time on his hands, and has nothing better to do than troll internet pages posting dumb shit, just to get a reaction.

Our little child dgs can post all the silly crap he wants. I will respond to this quoted one though..

I followed the venue bids more closely than anyone and yes, was surprised when Barcelona came through at the last minute. Because Cork and Malaga were unable to do '24 and because Jeddah would have caused probably 2 teams to drop out, yes Auckland was the only fallback until that last minute. It was a big story for months including in mainstream media.

Am disappointed for the history and for the Aucklanders who so obviously wanted their Cup Defended on their home waters. But Barcelona does have some good attributes.

A friend here with me at the moment is saying we should go hit up Barcelona and Mallorca and Sardinia here soon, just for the f of it, given the excuse fun. The Med is cool enough, classy too.
One only needs to look at the date this thread on Barcelona was started to remember how late they joined the party.

So your personal frustration is that someone on the internet is pretending to be wise and clever?
I appreciate many of the links SR posts. If they aren't interesting 1 minute in, I stop reading or watching. Nobody here is obliged to process everything posted. There will not be a test later.

I've also found that if facts are presented that contradict what he's posted, he generally takes that on board. Opinions, meh, not so much but nobody's opinions are sacred.

You are all wrong, Stingray doesn't add any value to the AC Conversation. The only reason he is here is that he can post his conspiracy theories. Every single Post of his is about a conspiracy. He doesn't wait for facts to come out but just wants to post bollocks here every time.

And then what most people including me and Fiji getting ticked off is that he claims he is right on everything and all other people are amateurs and he is the king. I am sick of this.

Stingray is tremendously bad for this Board and wants to damage the Sport of Sailing in general.

from an RG article a few days back. I checked AC.com and the posted Protocol is still the Nov 15 version.

Cup Critiqued: One size doesn't fit all as teams look at their options for moving to Barcelona (sail-world.com)

...

Article 24.2(b) of the Protocol requires that "The finalised dates for Non-Sailing Periods will be published within one month of the Match venue announcement under Article 8.1".

The same Article 8.1 required the venue and the approximate dates for the Match Racing Period to be announced on or before March 31, 2022.

That announcement was forced a couple of days earlier than intended, thanks to social media activity by Barcelona authorities, unable to contain their glee with being selected as the venue for the 2024 America's Cup.

Any changes to the Non-Sailing Periods in Article 24.2b were required to be "confirmed or adjusted" a month after the venue announcement - with the deadline set at the end of April.

From what we can see, this has not been done.

My latest guess is that TNZ will want the area that is immediately NE of the aquarium, and Ineos the area SW of it. The adjacent building to the north is, I think, the empty ex-IMAX cinema and could possibly be renovated for use by TNZ. That building is in the very-long video (with subtitles) I posted above somewhere and the guy speaking pointed to it behind him while saying it could become either the TNZ base or the Media Center. The 'o' of de Borbo in the first pic is close to the rental apartment I booked, and so the subject is fun for me.

I forget all the names involved in the rumored coming lawsuits in Auckland that TE mentioned today. Nothing has been filed yet but best I could make of it, a retired Supreme Court Justice (Thomas, maybe?) had warned back in December he would file action if the Cup tried to leave Auckland and this forecasted lawsuit will get filed soon, as promised. The court has two steps of appeals above it and so the timeline is unpredictable. Teams are not happy, of course.

This will go nowhere!!! Thomas or whoever fills with the Court needs to remind himself that is a "Civic Court" which is unlikely to grant an INJUNCTION to strip Barcelona as Host Venue of AC37 and reinstate Auckland. They face very long odds here. The only Court who can strip BCN and reinstate Auckland is the New York State Supreme Court in the USA.

It begins earlier but scroll to around 34m for the part above.

At around 38m it almost sounds like the ‘judicial review’ is only about a bunch of people getting kicked out of RNZYS in retaliation for their opposition to the Cup leaving. Hard to say for sure what action will be in play.

fwiw, from LOOKING AT THE SEA.- A handful of catetos, by Pedro Sardina - Plaza Magazine (valenciaplaza.com)

The bases will be separated and must be adapted to the needs of the teams because, except for the Italian one, which will be installed in the Grimaldi cruise base, the others will do so in abandoned buildings. The VIP village of Moll de la Fusta must be made whole and four badly placed tents are not worth it; you have to do something majestic so that the guests show off their palm heart, and the stand facing the sea, south of the Vela hotel with a large capacity of spectators, will cost a kidney. All at the expense of the host; that is, Barcelona, Catalonia and Spain.
