There’s a chance BCN base choices and allocations were due on Aug 1, that could be some new news.
Yay, right again :)

My rental pad will have a great view of Ineos but all of them are nicely accessible. There should be lots of boats to catch out onto the water from there too, looking forward to it.

Still no base-choices finality but things do seem to be progressing:

According to the Protocol for the 37th America’s Cup, the final allocation of bases to the teams is conducted in accordance with the priority specified in Article 51.2 of the Protocol – Defender first, then Challenger of Record, followed by the remaining Challengers in the order that their challenges were accepted. ACE are now in consultation with Alinghi Red Bull Racing, Luna Rossa Prada Pirelli and American Magic in that strict order according to the Protocol conditions.

Once the allocation is confirmed, the Port Authority will continue preparations, conversions and groundworks ahead of the teams assuming their plots around the port area progressively between October 2022 and April 2023.

Here we go:
Base Locations confirmed
Article mentions only ETNZ, INEOS, ARBR, LRPP and AM

However, then there is this Pic?

Nice curveball by Ineos to take the IMAX. I was told by very good sources a month ago that TNZ was taking the World Trade area, Ineos was taking the Cinema...... IMAX is a much shorter commute for the team members and guests as well as the foot traffic, and better protection from the sea-swell with all the cruise ships coming and going. It will be interesting to see if Alinghi moves up from where I was told they were going to take the cinema.

My impression from wherever was that Alinghi would take the top-left base out at the end?

Posting again, because of the thread-page change

The Race Area depicted in this one, extending even past the W now, may be a small change from the earlier graphics. BCN did a nice pedestrian improvement around the W just recently.

edit: for those not aware the W Hotel is the prominent, almost sail-shaped building on the upper left on the beach.

Changes to the calendar for staging the America's Cup and other supporting regattas were expected. The two-month racing period initially set down for May - June 2024 is now expanded to three months and is now pushed back to August - October 2024. The reasons for the change are to avoid a clash with the Paris 2024 Olympics - held from late July to mid-August and to get into more temperate weather and a reliable breeze.

On the second part of the last sentence, bullshit. Barcelona is primarily a sea-breeze venue and in the northern hemisphere, May-June is the sea breeze peak period. Statistics for Barcelona show the sea breeze starting to crap out by the second half of September and pretty much gone by mid October. The Olympics haven't suddenly appeared in sailing's calendar. The delay is clearly because the venue announcement slipped and Barcelona would not have been ready in time for the original schedule.
