Yet to be considered is the livery I imagine a one design brilliant red would suit the fleet well.
Funny.

Given the delivery schedules for the AC40's it seems very likely we will see teams launching different development beasts, starting soon. ETNZ may use an AC40 for development but the other teams have even tighter schedules to deal with.

I actually wonder if we will ever see Alingi's Boat Zero (Te Aihe) out again. They are rumored to be getting AC40's 4 & 5 but that's a pretty long way out.

I have no doubt Te Aihe will be out again soon, it's their primary training vehicle and they'll want to be confident with the 75 before transiting to the 40.

With American Magic in operation by may, will they ship their 40s to Europe for assembly/ testing there?

Which teams apart from GB are building LEQ12s do we know? Basically the only development boat anyone can build, so unless you are absolutely sure of your simulator it seems an obvious choice

GB is the only team to have announced it so far, yes.

LR teased recently on Instagram about a launch of something coming soon.

Which seems odd. Simulators are great, but they are by definition a simplification of the real world environment. F1 simulators are more mature than AC ones and yet can miss something (see Mercedes this year, or other team in other years). And they do actual car testing to identify issues, resolutions and optimise configurations.

Given the extreme limitations in AC boat testing and changes, why would not every team want the opportunity of LEQ12 validation? Whether it is to test alternative solutions, boundary conditions or just verification of the exact conditions near the optimum solution would seem desirable

One thing is for sure, its good to see the end of Stingray and his boy Tom's mate Mark Dunphy. Like many of us always said... he was a no one that came out of no where, wanted his 15 minutes of fame, and once he got his ass handed to him, he would go back to being a no one. Good riddance.

Today I stumbled accross this...

That means all the Ocean Race content will almost certainly be available on Discovery Outlets & EUROSPORT. I was begging for this to happen.

So folks, if AC37 wants to have a really good Event they need to do the same thing. They need a BIG EUROPEAN TV DEAL and not just tiny TVE in Spain.

Maybe Warner Bros Discovery does the same thing for AC37? It would certainly be a good thing and there is most definitly a void to fill for them after the 2024 Paris Olympics.
