Ive got a Farmann A30 that bit the dust with a corrosion on the head to the point water entered. Rest of the beast works like a charm. Ive decided I am not patient enough to try and locate another head, and feel like getting someone to pour an iron plug is just asking for trouble down the road. My question to the gallery is, what the best way to get rid of this thing for some money?

Many years ago a buddy was looking at a boat with a faryman. He learned that a lot of the powered roadside signs were powered by gensets with faryman heads. As we move to solar/battery signs, it may be a cheap source for a new block. FWIW.

On facebook, there's a farymann group in which you might have luck. Most of the folks are overseas, but every now and then someone from the US pops in looking for parts or a donor engine.

Likewise, I've been looking for a donor engine for my A30 and not having a lot of luck locally (Great Lakes).
