A simple admission you want them so you can slaughter a lot of people in a hurry would've saved a lot of typing. Now about this "militia" you are joining so you can legally slaughter a lot of people: How is it regulated? Has to be well or it's not the sort of militia the Constitution is referring to.
If I wanted to slaughter more people, I would buy an AR15. Those can cut a person in half with a single shot, or so the US Marines teach.

I'm not joining any militia. I'm part of The People like Jack Miller, Dick Heller, and Otis McDonald.

The People seem exceptionally well regulated to me. A heavily armed group of them, inflamed to violence by Fake News, attempted a nincomcoup and didn't fire a single shot. That's exceptional trigger discipline that can only come with lots of training, wouldn't you agree?

SUPPLEMENTAL EXPERT REPORT AND DECLARATION OF COLONEL (RET.) CRAIG TUCKER

Just quoting expert testimony in the California assault weapons buyback case.

You don't think that Bloomberg bought fake news, do you? An AR15 really can cut a person in half like the good Colonel said, can't it?
I have seen countless gunshots wounds from M16 and AK and never seen or heard of a person being cut in half. The only imaginable way would be if a person was hit just right in some improbable fashion in the spine at the base of the skull and that would be so far out of statistical reality that it would not be kept track of.
Unless a 7.62 or .223 hits bone it passes through and through with the kinetic energy doing the most damage.
The civilian one round one trigger pull is incapable of cutting a human body in 2 . A full auto military rifle could theoretically cut a human body in two under the perfect circumstances.
Otherwise it is hyperbole and a gross exaggeration that detracts from any argument that one might be trying to make.

That a lot to read through, I stopped at the Heading Opinion

You missed the line worth mocking.

A single round is capable of severing the upper body from the lower body, or decapitation.

Like I said, expert sworn testimony in support of buyingback .223 guns without compensation says that a single round can cut a person in half.

Anyone with a low tolerance for BS would want to mock that, right?

At least one state on that list did not "enact NRA-backed constitutional carry", so I'll assume that's not the only error.
Actually I am in favor of the old Florida law requiring taking a CC class, but only because it is a good idea for gun owners to be educated on the law as it pertains to a person’s legal standing in various gun use situations.

If a Marine Colonel says a single round can cut a person in half,

? who am _I_ to dispute his word ?

If the President says it can decapitate an adult,
, and NPR tells us the same,

? who am _I_ to dispute their word ?

, since I don't own anything that uses the .223 round,
, there's no base of experience for me.

? team Grabbers,, what's the deal ?

The party line seems to be that BS is OK if it's in service of the holy crusade to buyback guns without compensation.

From the thread where that BS first appeared:

so a civilian AR can't cut a body in half so it's perfectly fine that it's capable of slaughtering a few dozen elementary school children and everyone should have unfettered access to those types of weapons.

This is not surprising, considering the tolerance for ideas like indoor militias, the Bill of Rights applying only to 18th century tech, and Trump's usurpation of power. What's a little more BS on the pile? Gungrabbiness Uber Alles!
