Those of us who despise Trump need to make sure not to engage in whataboutism.
But what about that week for Biden Inc.?

Dog2 seems to have more of the lamebrain fetishes of Bravo2/SailBlue than the late unlamented dishonest Dog.

To be honest, I don't really know or care. Why these morons keep coming back, I guess hope never dies in the human soul. Usually that's a good thing, but when the hope is to own more libs, then it's kinda rancid

I get that.
But.............
1. The rank hypocrisy of Trump supporters, who are fans of the most corrupt president in our history by an order of magnitude, complaining about long ago *maybe* shady dealings of a non-government relative of a vice president are so far beyond ridiculous that no one can treat them seriously.
2. The endless parade of totally made-up bullshit and twisted tales that sort-of maybe have some actual fact involved somewhere. See the endless Hillary pizza sex slave stories, 58 variations of BENGHAZI, etc. etc.
3. The endless obsession with Hunter Biden and the ridiculous shaggy-dog story of the wandering laptop. Even if this thing actually exists and Hunter Biden actually committed 1001 crimes and documented every single one of them with multiple camera angles, it doesn't matter. If the story of this laptop is even 10% true, it has been passed around to so many people who screwed with it a half-dead and three-quarters stoned junior public defender would get it and all the evidence derived from it tossed.

To summarize, someone who ISN'T an obvious fan of a President's children criming their asses off AND can find something from an actual real news organization might get my interest.
Other than that, just fodder for the obvious jokes.

Agreed that fervent Trump supporters are an embarassment!

Focusing on process of investigating crimes helps to avoid whataboutism. The ends don't justify the means, so properly investigate potential crimes and follow the facts. Bill Clinton had investigations into potential crimes in his circles and found that he committed adultery. Hillary Clinton had investigations into her usage of email, which turned out not to be criminal even when a democRAT did it. Obummer had his genealogy investigated because, well, just LOOK at him. No crime. Biden's son might have association with a crime, but once again, people are focusing on him instead of the potential crime of emailing by democRAT.

I won't be voting for Hunter Biden anytime soon, this I can tell you very strongly.

I prefer the Garland method. Investigate crimes. Pull the threads and see what turns up. Follow the facts.

If the FBI internal affairs people accuse Elliot Ness of stealing office supplies, I will be interested.
When Al Capone does it, probably not.
I too will not vote for Hunter Biden. If Hunter Biden actually committed some crime and someone has actual real useable evidence, then he can get indicted, have a trial, and see what happens.
If someone proposes a law that the children of presidents cannot work in the White House, get security clearances, nor have business dealings in foreign countries I will enthusiastically support such a law to prevent Hunter Biden from trying to do anything like what he is accused of ever again!

* it would also apply to everyone else, darn the luck

I think the Wikipedia entry on that laptop more than explains just how ridiculous it is.
Thanks for the prompt. Read it just now. The topic was investigated more and is even more silly than I knew. I especially like this passage about authenticity/tampering:

"In March 2022, The Washington Post published the findings of two forensic information analysts it had retained to examine 217 gigabytes of data provided to the paper on a hard drive by Republican activist Jack Maxey, who represented that its contents came from the laptop. One of the analysts characterized the data as a "disaster" from a forensics standpoint. The analysts found that people other than Biden had repeatedly accessed and copied data for nearly three years; they also found evidence others had written files to the drive both before and after the October 2020 New York Post reports. In September 2020, someone created six new folders on the drive, including with the names "Biden Burisma," "Salacious Pics Package" and "Hunter. Burisma Documents." One of the analysts found evidence someone may have accessed the drive contents from a West Coast location days after The New York Post published their stories about the laptop."

Why did Sleepy Joe go to Ulraine 14 times as Vice President? That seems odd.
But what about that week for Biden Inc.?

Why do you think the hideously mis named Inflation Reduction Act is a good thing?
According to the Penn Wharton Budget Model (PWBM) there’s low confidence that the legislation will have any impact on inflation. PWBM is a nonpartisan, research-based organization at the University of Pennsylvania that creates economic analysis of public policy’s fiscal impact.
According to the Congressional Budget Office (CBO), a federal agency that provides budget and economic information to Congress, the bill would barely make a dent on inflation in the near term—and could even nudge it upward.

If the bill passes in 2022, the CBO estimates that it would have a “negligible effect on inflation,” and in 2023 it would change inflation somewhere between 0.1 percentage point lower and 0.1 percentage point higher than it is currently.

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) ripped the Inflation Reduction Act Saturday for doing little to fight inflation and not enough to help Americans struggling to afford health care, child care and housing.

CHIPS Act is corporate welfare. I would think your elk would be against that. Wouldnt creating and fostering an environment conducive to innovation and manufacturing be better than handing out $52 Billion in cash to corporations?
